Airmen, Sky Pirates, Steampunkers and Comic Fans, lend me your ears…

Ha! Now that I have your attention. I have captured Everett’s blog again! I have an exciting announcement to make!

For those of you who read our webcomic on a weekly basis and I hope that is alot of you, our first chapter is now complete! Twenty three weeks later and we find Tobin standing up against Uswain who just got caught but Tobin’s in the crossfire. How is he getting out of this one?

Well, it’s gonna be a bit before we find out. In support of our belief in giving aspiring artists an opportunity as we were given, we’re trying something new. Beginning this Friday and continuing for the next 15 weeks, we will be featuring a short story entitled “Steel Honor.” Written by Everett and illustrated by Shannon Ritchie, “Steel Honor” is a glimpse into Gearz’ backstory.

Shannon Ritchie has been creating artwork most of his life. Mostly in the form of tattoos, he can be found at Tuff City in the Bronx of New York at 650 East Fordham Road. Recently he has begun branching out into the Comic Arena, and has a few projects lined up for release later in the year. Shannon was happy to provide the next fifteen pages of Sky Pirates of Valendor becuase he felt it would be excellent exposure for his own work and he is a true fan of the genre. Shannon will also be traveling to Chicago and Orlando to Tattoo at the pop culture convention, C2E2 and the extremely popular comic book oriented MegaCon the last two weekends in March. In addition to providing permanent artwork there, he will have the first issue of his own comic ‘The Gunfighters of Korv Nikul’ to sell, as well as original work from that, a horror graphic novel entitled ‘Blood from Stone’ and the majority of the Sky Pirates pages.

You can see more of his work at www.smitchart.com! And join us this Friday for “Steel Honor.”
